I'm writing a story set in a futuristic, but post-apocalyptic Earth wherein most of the Earth has been rendered a barren wasteland and humanity, as per the genre, struggles to survive at all.
What I'm not sure of is how to get there. I don't know enough about high-energy/theoretical weapons...
