What is the Earth's composition (by compounds not elements)?

I have tried looking for papers on the composition of earth, but none of them seem to list the abundance of compounds. They just list the elements. So, what are the abundances of the most common compounds, by mass and/or percent of Earth?

B Why is the age of the Universe finite?

Ok now I know why the time dilation wasn't infinite. But wouldn't the much higher energy density, and therefore much stronger gravitational field, mean that time was dilated as compared to Earth's time rate as it is now?

B Why is the age of the Universe finite?

I am assuming scientists say that the universe is 13.8 billion years old with respect to time on earth. If so, how come the infinite energy present at such a small scale didn't make gravitational time dilation infinite during the first stage? Wouldn't time dilation make the universe infinitely...

Does Stress-Energy Tensor Depend on Direction of Relative Velocity?

Thanks, I didn't know that. I guess at any arbitrary point between the bodies.

Does Stress-Energy Tensor Depend on Direction of Relative Velocity?

Does the stress-energy tensor depend on direction of the relative velocity of two celestial bodies? Assume vy is directed parallel to the gravitational field of the planet, vx and vz are perpendicular to the field, and that the speed would be the same whichever direction it is in. Does it matter...

Questions on Mass/Volume x Density: Exploring Nonlinear Effects in GR

I am not an expert but I think I have something to give you a start. The way that energy curves spacetime is likely what creates the problem with this. For example, energy is what causes the effects of mass in terms of gravity, not necessarily actual mass. To solve Einstein's field equations you...

    Relativity versus Newtonian gravity

I asked recently on another thread about relativity and its affect on gravitation. I have been informed that gravity is due to how energy bends spacetime, not the Newtonian idea of mass or even the special "relativistic mass." However this leaves me wondering why general relativity does not...

What is the experimental evidence for mass relativity?

Thank you! That's what I was looking for.

What is the experimental evidence for mass relativity?

I'm sorry, I'm not at all trying to use bad physics. It's just that I need extra help to get a satisfying answer and truly understand it.

What is the experimental evidence for mass relativity?

I know now that experimentally it works, and that it's not in his general theory. But I desire to know why he didn't put gamma in the equation in the first place. Is there some term that cancels making gamma and therefore the effects of velocity go away? Or some other reason that the additional...

What is the experimental evidence for mass relativity?

I've been informed now of the paradoxes, but how do we know why gravity isn't impacted by special relativity? Why doesn't the additional energy get affected by gravitational force?

What is the experimental evidence for mass relativity?

So for clarification the gravitational attraction between two objects doesn't depend on whether one of them is moving or not?

What is the experimental evidence for mass relativity?

I've been looking for the specific experimental evidence as to why we know mass increases with velocity. The only way I can think of is with gravitation. If so how do we experimentally know that (as I've been told) increase in observed mass relies on the total relative velocity of the moving...
