Estimating density, viscosity and thermal conductivity

Homework Statement Hi there, I am designing a heat exchanger and I am really struggling to find out how to fairly accurately estimate the density, viscosity and thermal conductivity of a gaseous mixture at ~~20bar. There is 8 components in the mixture: methane, ethane, ethene, ethlyene oxide...

Higher Order Linear Homogenous Differential Equation

Cool, I plugged it in and got 0 (99% sure I did this correctly, there was a lot of terms haha!), so that means it is the correct and I can move on to applying the boundary functions? Thanks for all the help, will definitely use that plugging in method to double check my answers in future :)

Higher Order Linear Homogenous Differential Equation

Homework Statement Hi, basically I have a boundary value problem and just want to check that my general solution is correct. x'''' + 16x = 0 Homework EquationsThe Attempt at a Solution I'm pretty sure you make a characteristic equation which would be m4 + 16 = 0. Solving this I get m to be...

    Derivation of parametric Equations?

Really sorry but I literally have no idea what is going on in this question so am going to just leave it. Greatly appreciate all the help you gave but I'm way too confused. Thanks anyway :)

    Derivation of parametric Equations?

Sorry just realized that they are wrong I think they should be x=vt+rsin(ωt+θ) and y=y0+rcos(ωt+θ) but this is for horizontal movement so how do I work it out for on a slope?

    Derivation of parametric Equations?

If this isn't close I have no hope, is the function x=rcos(ωt+θ) and y=rsin(ωt+θ) ? Sorry about being so bad at this

    Derivation of parametric Equations?

is the parametric equation y(t)=1/2π t sin (π/6)

    Derivation of parametric Equations?

I understand what you're saying to do, but I'm not sure how I acutally work that out though

    Derivation of parametric Equations?

I've just realized that is not even close to being right...

    Derivation of parametric Equations?

I honestly don't even know how to do that. I think the point might posibly y(t)=2π/t but am pretty sure that's not right?

    Derivation of parametric Equations?

Homework Statement Hi, so confused abou this question that I probably haven't even posted it in the correct section. Here's the question. A wheel of radius ,r, is situated at the top of a ramp having an angle θ = π/6 rad. At t= 0 the wheel is at rest with its centre at coordinates (0,r) and...

    Electrical Circuit Calculations

Homework Statement Calculate the individual currents in I2 and I3 (See diagram). I basically need to know how I calculate the current at any point in that circuit and that would help me. Homework Equations V=IR Rseries=R1+R2... 1/Rparallel=1/R1+1/R2 The Attempt at a Solution I honestly have no...
