AI Thread Summary
Google Chrome does not currently allow users to manually add or customize thumbnails on the "new tab" page, as it automatically selects frequently visited sites. While some users express frustration over this lack of control, there are no built-in options to edit the code or manually adjust the thumbnails. Instead, using a browser extension is recommended as a workaround to customize the new tab experience, offering more flexibility in selecting and displaying preferred sites.

Is there any way to manually add a thumbnail to the Google chrome "new tab" tab? I HATE how it won't let you pick which sites you want there, it instead makes the decisions for you.

Is there someway to edit the code, perhaps?

Why don't you use an extension instead?

Thread 'Urgent: Physically repair - or bypass - power button on Asus laptop'
Asus Vivobook S14 flip. The power button is wrecked. Unable to turn it on AT ALL. We can get into how and why it got wrecked later, but suffice to say a kitchen knife was involved: These buttons do want to NOT come off, not like other lappies, where they can snap in and out. And they sure don't go back on. So, in the absence of a longer-term solution that might involve a replacement, is there any way I can activate the power button, like with a paperclip or wire or something? It looks...
