AI Thread Summary
Using a digital tablet as a math scratch pad offers advantages over traditional marble notebooks, particularly in terms of convenience for storing and sharing notes. Digital tablets can effectively handle mathematical notation, including sub/super scripts and integration limits, making them suitable for this purpose. Users have found success with various models, and there are options available that cater to different needs. An alternative method for digitizing notes is to take photographs of handwritten pages and compile them into a PDF, which can also be a practical solution for those not ready to switch to a tablet.

A little OT perhaps, but I have been considering using a "digital tablet" as my math scratch pad. For years I have used "marble notebooks" but it would be nice to just load my scratchings to my PC so I can email, store them etc.

So-the question is-are digital tablets fine enough for this? I am obviously thinking writing with the blunt stylus, those nasty little sub/super scripts and limits of integration etc. Would like to hear from anyone doing this and what model works for them?

I found a similar documentary in English called The Human Cost of AI: Data workers in the Global South. There is also an interview with Milagros Miceli (appearing in both documentaries) on Youtube: I also found a powerpoint presentation by the economist Uma Rani (appearing in the French documentary), AI...
