I'm trying to simulate the force experienced by a current-carrying wire under the influence of a magnetic field. I want to do this in ANSYS but I don't know how to setup my model. I know how to do Mechanical static, dynamic, harmonic, modal simulations and static electrical but I've never done magnetostatics. Does anyone know how to set this up?? I guess what I specifically need to know is: What type of elements do I have to use for the wire? how do I setup the magnetic field?
