In summary, a Facebook IPO is the process of a privately owned company becoming publicly traded to raise capital. Facebook may be considering going public to fund expansion and growth, provide liquidity for investors and increase visibility. The exact valuation is unknown but expected to be one of the largest in history. The IPO is unlikely to impact current users, but as a publicly traded company, Facebook may face pressure to generate profits. Investing in the IPO carries both risks and benefits, such as stock price fluctuations and competition, but also potential for high returns and being a part of a successful company.

I doubt it. Being privately-held has a lot of advantages - like, for one, we'll never have to hold a vote on whether or not to relax our anti-crackpot rules.
