AI Thread Summary
Humans can survive in a spacecraft traveling to the Moon, as evidenced by the successful Apollo missions. While space does expose astronauts to increased radiation, spacecraft are designed with shielding to mitigate these risks. The concerns about radiation are valid but manageable with current technology and mission planning. The assertion that survival is impossible is incorrect and not supported by scientific evidence. Therefore, the topic is grounded in reality rather than conspiracy.

someone told me that it is impossible for a human being to survive in a spacecraft while traveling to the moon due to intense radiation somewhere in space that they would have to cross. is this true or just a hoax? I am not starting a conspiracy i just want a specific scientific answer on the truth. Thanks in advance.

Since people did go to the moon, it is an obvious hoax and a subject not worthy of discussion on PF.

Is a homemade radio telescope realistic? There seems to be a confluence of multiple technologies that makes the situation better than when I was a wee lad: software-defined radio (SDR), the easy availability of satellite dishes, surveillance drives, and fast CPUs. Let's take a step back - it is trivial to see the sun in radio. An old analog TV, a set of "rabbit ears" antenna, and you're good to go. Point the antenna at the sun (i.e. the ears are perpendicular to it) and there is...

Your posts, clips and photos may by all means include scientific information; that does not make it less beautiful to me (n.b. the posts must of course comply with the PF guidelines, i.e. regarding science, only mainstream science is allowed, fringe/pseudoscience is not allowed). n.b.
