What is Unification: Definition and 101 Discussions

The Unification Church (UC), also known as the Unification Movement or Unificationism, is a new religious movement whose members are called Unificationists and sometimes colloquially "Moonies". It was officially founded on 1 May 1954 under the name Holy Spirit Association for the Unification of World Christianity (HSA-UWC) in Seoul, South Korea by Sun Myung Moon (1920–2012), a Korean religious leader also known for his business ventures and engagement in social and political causes. The beliefs of the Unification Church are based on Moon's book Divine Principle, which differs from the teachings of Nicene Christianity on its view of Jesus and its introduction of the concept of "indemnity". The movement is well known for its unique "Blessing" or mass wedding ceremonies. It also has unique funeral ceremonies for its members. The Unification Church has attracted numerous controversies, and has been called a dangerous cult. Its beliefs have been criticized by both Jewish and Christian scholars. It also has been criticized for its involvement in politics, which include anti-communism and support for Korean Reunification. The Unification Church and its members have founded, own, and support other related organizations, including business, educational, political, and other types of organizations.

Seeking Unification in Physics: Exploring the Unknown

The ultimate goal of physics is to be able to describe all physical phenomena under one solid structure. To have a single way to express everything, and to many that lies in an equation somewhere. We seek a unified field theory. We have been able to successfully quantify much of what we observe...
