Naked came the stranger – off a 60-metre cliff

VANCOUVER — Even in a place that doesn't shock easily, the sight of a naked man falling off a steep cliff, his minivan still stuck in the trees above, was not your usual day at the beach.

“I heard this loud crash, then I heard the trees cracking – crash-crash-crash,” said one nude sunbather on clothing-optional Wreck Beach. Then he said he saw a Caucasian man, with long, matted brown hair, covered in cuts and bruises, slip down the cliff...

Vancouver is our version of San Francisco. They're both bowls of granola; the residents who aren't fruits or flakes are nuts.

Related to If a van drives off a cliff with velocity, v, how stoned is the naked driver?

1. How does the velocity of the van affect the stoned driver's state?

The velocity of the van does not affect the stoned driver's state. The driver's level of intoxication is determined by the amount of drugs consumed, not the speed of the vehicle.

2. Is the driver more or less likely to survive the fall if they are stoned?

It is difficult to determine the likelihood of survival based solely on the driver's state of intoxication. Factors such as the height of the cliff, the condition of the driver, and the impact of the fall will all play a role in their survival.

3. Can the driver's reflexes be impaired by being stoned, leading to a different outcome?

Yes, being under the influence of drugs can impair a person's reflexes and decision-making abilities, potentially leading to a different outcome in the situation.

4. What would be the impact of the driver being naked on the outcome?

The fact that the driver is naked would not have a significant impact on the outcome of the situation. It may affect their physical injuries, but it would not change the laws of physics or the consequences of the fall.

5. Can the driver's level of intoxication be accurately determined after the accident?

It may be possible to determine the driver's level of intoxication after the accident through blood or urine tests, but this would not change the outcome of the fall or the consequences for the driver.
