Mirrors for UV Laser & Invisible Lasers

In summary, "Mirrors for UV Laser & Invisible Lasers" are specialized mirrors used to reflect and manipulate ultraviolet and invisible laser beams. They are different from regular mirrors as they are coated with materials that are highly reflective to these types of light. These mirrors can be used with various types of ultraviolet and invisible lasers, and the right mirror should be chosen based on factors such as wavelength, power, and desired reflectivity. While primarily used for scientific and industrial applications, they can also be used for other purposes such as UV imaging and curing. However, they are not suitable for reflecting visible light.

Hi,

Is there a such mirror which can reflects a UV laser (~190nm wavelength) with Reflectance greater than 95% and also invisible laser (not necessarily in a high Reflectance)?

Thanks

There are several companies that make excellent narrowband mirrors:

And more, I'm sure.

Related to Mirrors for UV Laser & Invisible Lasers

1. What are "Mirrors for UV Laser & Invisible Lasers" used for?

"Mirrors for UV Laser & Invisible Lasers" are used to reflect and manipulate ultraviolet and invisible laser beams. These mirrors are specifically designed to reflect these types of light, which are not visible to the human eye, without absorbing or scattering the light.

2. How are these mirrors different from regular mirrors?

Mirrors for UV Laser & Invisible Lasers are specially coated with materials that are highly reflective to ultraviolet and invisible light, whereas regular mirrors are designed to reflect visible light. Additionally, regular mirrors may absorb or scatter ultraviolet and invisible light, making them unsuitable for use with these types of lasers.

3. What types of lasers can these mirrors be used with?

These mirrors can be used with any type of ultraviolet or invisible laser, including UV lasers, infrared lasers, and ultraviolet-visible (UV-Vis) lasers. They are commonly used in scientific and industrial applications such as spectroscopy, microscopy, and laser processing.

4. How do you choose the right mirror for a specific laser?

The selection of the right mirror for a specific laser depends on factors such as the wavelength of the laser, the power and intensity of the laser, and the desired reflectivity. It is important to consult with a specialist or refer to the manufacturer's specifications to ensure the mirror is suitable for the intended use.

5. Can these mirrors be used for other applications?

While these mirrors are specifically designed for use with ultraviolet and invisible lasers, they can also be used for other applications that require highly reflective surfaces for these types of light. This includes UV imaging, UV curing, and UV lithography. However, it is important to note that these mirrors are not suitable for reflecting visible light.
