Tex not parsing correctly and problems with the preview button

In summary, tonight's issues in the homework help section include a broken preview post functionality, which causes bugs after the first click. With each subsequent click, a section containing problem, notable equations, and a question on the problem is added to the previewed post and causes trouble with Tex. The only workaround is to type the post in Miktex and copy it over. Additionally, there have been reports of server timeouts, which are likely due to a denial-of-service attack.

These are the problems I've noticed tonight, specifically in the homework help section.

First, the preview post functionality seems to be broken.
The first time you hit preview post it will show a preview correctly, any subsequent preview posts clicks after that will cause some nasty bugs.

With each iteration of hitting the preview post button, in the homework help section, it appends a
1. Problem
2. Notable Equations
3. Question on Problem

section to the previewed post at the bottom. At this point is when Tex appears to start having trouble. It appears that with each increased iteration down the line, it adds an extra \ to each tex command in the previewed post and doesn't parse more then the first section of tex brackets.

All in all the only working workaround seems to be typing up a post in Miktex and cut / copy to completely avoid the preview post function.

Update: Also the server seems to be timing out a lot tonight.

Hi Lorek!

I'm afraid that the repetition of the homework template is a well-known bug.

Also the LaTeX preview only works properly if you click "Refresh" on your browser each time.

(and the slowness is from a denial-of-service attack)

1. What is Tex and why is it not parsing correctly?

Tex is a typesetting language commonly used for mathematical and scientific documents. It may not be parsing correctly due to errors in the code or compatibility issues with the platform being used.

2. How can I fix Tex parsing problems?

First, check for any errors in the code. Make sure all commands are correctly spelled and in the correct format. If the problem persists, try using a different platform or updating to the latest version of Tex.

3. Why is the preview button not working?

The preview button may not be working due to an error in the code or compatibility issues with the platform. It could also be caused by a slow or unstable internet connection.

4. How can I troubleshoot the preview button?

Start by checking for any errors in the code. If there are no errors, try refreshing the page or clearing the cache. If the problem persists, try using a different browser or device.

5. Is there a way to prevent Tex parsing and preview problems?

To prevent Tex parsing and preview problems, make sure to double check the code for any errors before running it. It is also helpful to use a reliable platform and have a stable internet connection. Regularly updating software can also prevent compatibility issues.
