I Understanding Spinors - Geometry & Usage
Ooohhh I really like this formulation. This is basically just differential forms but replacing d with s. Because before applying d to 1-form yielded the curl and some d^2 components which were regarded to be 0 but in this formulation they have meaning. On the other hand, the pseudo vector forms...- Aakash Lakshmanan

B What are surreal numbers and how do they work?
Hey guys! I have heard of this concept in various places and sort of understands what it attempts to do. Can anybody please explain it to me in more detail like how it works, how to notate it, and how to expand it to infinities and infinitesimals. Thanks in advance! I Understanding Spinors - Geometry & Usage
Ooohh that does sound interesting. I do know how to take half derivatives and such. Would I just have to take half partial derivatives with respect to each variable to create like a half-gradient? But then how would this exhibit the properties of a spinor like parity of rotation?- Aakash Lakshmanan

I Why does an electron undergo diffraction?
The notion that waves oscillate through space is misguided. For example, if I shake a string and there are waves, nothing is really oscillating through space. A photon, although a particle, is not waving through space. The strengths of the electric and magnetic field are increasing and...- Aakash Lakshmanan

I Understanding Spinors - Geometry & Usage
Hmm alright, do you think there would be a more geometric explanation of what is going on? Thinking in this rigorous analytic fashion is useful but I don't think it really captures the essence of the structure.- Aakash Lakshmanan

I Understanding Spinors - Geometry & Usage
Okay, I have read on spinors here and there but I really don't understand geometrically or intuitively what it is. Can someone please explain it to me and how/when it is used? Thanks!- Aakash Lakshmanan

I Why does an electron undergo diffraction?
It is the idea that electrons also exhibit a form of wave-particle duality. Similar to how you can calculate the wavelength of light with the equation wavelength=h/momentum, you can just plug in the momentum of a particle to get its "de Broglie" wavelength which seems hand wavey but it is real...- Aakash Lakshmanan

I Simon's Algorithm: Solving the Mystery of f(x+s)
Hi all, I am sure some of you have heard of Simon's algorithm that calculates a secret string s when given a black box. Basically, let's say we have a qubit x that is n digits long. Now the black box contains a function f that outputs f(x+s) where s is the mystery string and + is bit-wise modulo...- Aakash Lakshmanan
