Graduate Is T Pyxis a Real Threat to Earth?
It's something interesting to wonder about. But yes, I agree on present events being more important. However, it's fun to explore.- AdamAutism1998

Graduate Is T Pyxis a Real Threat to Earth?
Of course not. I was talking about the future. If we haven't left Earth. I was in a rush while posting this because something came up.- AdamAutism1998

Graduate Is T Pyxis a Real Threat to Earth?
Oops, I meant at it's closest approach it would be 3,300 about 10 million years from now. I'm still getting to understand it.- AdamAutism1998

Graduate Is T Pyxis a Real Threat to Earth?
People have been saying this system is a serious threat to Earth. It's closest will bring it only 3,300 Light Years Away. But, It could be a threat. However, I'm not sure whether it really does. Although I read about it on Wikipedia, I'm still not convinced. Does anyone currently know the mass...- AdamAutism1998

Graduate R136a defies Laws of Stellar Evolution
Energy vs Pressure. Although Massive, and having a very prominent gravitational field, there's a counterbalance in the core caused by the intense energy it radiates. This prevents the star from collapsing until it has lost enough mass to be able to counteract the force of gravity forcing it to...- AdamAutism1998

It's a stellar evolution chart. It's on Wikipedia, but I used the variables to follow it down further.- AdamAutism1998

Graduate What's the most massive white dwarf in the MW?
I'm curious. I want to model it to understand stellar evolution better. Does anyone know what the most massive single white dwarf is?- AdamAutism1998

Graduate R136a defies Laws of Stellar Evolution
I'm not an "expert" on the subject nor do I consider myself one. But my reasoning is based off the total mass required to fuse. In the event such massive stars were to collide, they would merge at very high speeds due to the gravitational influence of approach. As the cores merge, it would leave...- AdamAutism1998

Graduate Neutron Stars from White Dwarf Mergers: Under 1.4 SM?
I think this could be a good chance that we see how neutron stars form from White Dwarf mergers. The combined mass of the two are less that than required for a type Ia Supernovae. Won't they merge and collapse into a neutron star? What does everyone else think might happen. I want to be sure if...- AdamAutism1998
