What I'm making would retail for 1000 or 1200 I'm putting finishing touches on it now and it has all the same specifications as the high end electric bikes on that website
High quality off road electric bikes typically use 2000 to 3000 watts easily check out stealthelectricbike.com I'm trying to make a cheaper prototype with similar results.
I'm trying to do this at low cost with high power and controllers that can handle more that 2000 watts and more than 50 amps are expensive so I'm trying this idea
Hey everyone, I am building an electric bike and I was wondering if you can take a typical hall effect hand throttle and connect it to two controllers, so it can control 2 identical motors with separate power supplies giving each motor = amounts of voltage to run the motors at around the same...
I set up a 4 to 1 gear ratio from the motor to the lower bracket then a 1.25 to 1 gear ratio to the back wheel. Is there anyway I can create more power out of the motor keeping the same gear system?
So I've been trying to make an electric bike. I've read that to overcome steeper hills you need higher amperage, but in looking for motors I found a 1000 watt 48 volt motor that is rated for 28 amps and a 600 watt 24 volt motor rated for 32 amps. Which motor creates more torque? If anyone...
Yes I got everything working together but as I said it had a lot of heat when I added resistance to the shaft of the motor I am thinking about just making 2 separate systems one 48 volt pack running the 750 watt motor and one 48 volt pack running the 1000 watt motor and then using two different...
1. I am building an electric bike from scratch and I am using 2 motors. I have a 48 volt battery, a controller and a throttle. I tried to wire the two motors together but then when I put any type of load on the motor it heated up the wire leads to the point where it melted the insulation. Is...
Im not planning on using charging the battery solely with the generator. I am thinking that since I have the extra motor and the space I could probably use it to be a trickel charger. Not as the permanent charging device but just to extend the battery life while riding.
