Single phase half bridge converter working help

GingerLee, this negative voltage concept solves everything. I did not notice the freewheeling path created when the two scrs are replaced by two diodes. This solves my question. Thanks

Doubt on snubber circuit for an scr for dv/dt protection

The main aim of turning on/off an scr is to disconnect source from load. I read in dv/dt protection of scr using snubber circuit, the scr may turn on when dV/dt is very high as the charging current i=cdV/dt will be high enough to turn on scr. So we are using a snubber circuit to divert this high...

Why Does Voltage Drop Occur in a Circuit with Multiple Resistors?

if the actual aim is to see if the circuit is complete insert a galvanometer/ammeter in series. Or if you really want to light an led without any drop in your circuit, insert a RELAY. In the secondary of relay, incorporate the led circuit.

Single phase half bridge converter working help

why are we using two diodes instead of two scrs in a single phase half bridge converter? What difference does it make? (say in my attachment s2 and s3 are diodes instead of scrs?) Wont we get the same operation with two scrs itself (only thing you have to fire them together with s1 and s4). I...
