What about if you want to just put in a deposit of say 10k per annum for 10 years but have it still compound at the same yearly rate?

I think I found a simple formula if I was putting in the same amount of money each year, but what if I wanted to start with 1000$, add 10k$ for 10 years, and then watch it compound at X interest; how would i set that up? And if you know, can you put this formula into Excell.

Maybe they tested higher, but their IQ did not change. Was it within one standard deviation? There is work being done for cognitive enhancement (the only thing on the market right now that shows an increase in IQ is Depakote - by ten points; less than a deviation) and with the Singularity...

I am looking for excellent mathematical logic books that start from the beginning and go to the (what we think is) the end. Hopefully something with lots of editions so I can pick up a 2nd edition for 3 bucks on Amazon used. Ideas?
