B Bell's Inequalities and the issue of non-locality

(emphasis mine) Does SPDC occur naturally (i.e. in Nature)? Have we observed any? Also, if we use the term attributes rather than observables, would that change our perception of "realism"?

Isn't that the WHOLE reason for science?

I An interesting question from Veritasium on YouTube

Yes. EM coupling. But he didn't specify the time lapse between send and receive.

I What Makes Ontology Easy for Kids but Challenging for Quantum Physicists?

Are you saying that a physicist uses QT predictions to set up an experiment that proves the QT predictions are correct?

I QM: Interesting View - Get the Inside Scoop

This may be a little off topic, but the way I see it is that the issue, problem, or source of confusion is that Einstein was referring to a SINGLE case of a 2-photon system, whereas nearly everyone else is arguing from an ensemble of identically prepared systems. By the way, how do we KNOW each...

I QM: Interesting View - Get the Inside Scoop

From the 1st paper cited above: "Why, then, do many people wrongly claim that quantum mechanics is nonlocal? They do so by denying at least one of three fundamental precepts of QBism: (1) A measurement outcome does not preexist the measurement. An outcome is created for the agent who takes the...

I QM: Interesting View - Get the Inside Scoop

I suggest that until we have a theory that predicts exactly where an individual photon will hit the screen in a 2-slit experiment, and the path of an individual gas atom in a confined space, and why one atom of uranium decays and not the one next to it, etc., we will not have a complete physical...

I Are there signs that any Quantum Interpretation can be proved or disproved?

I can't be taken seriously, for I know nothing of higher mathematics. But I do have two reasons for questioning: 1. The measurement problem; 2. Gravity

A Infinities in QFT (and physics in general)

I would say that the real goal is to understand Nature, period! Then we would KNOW how to make the best use of our knowledge.

I Are there signs that any Quantum Interpretation can be proved or disproved?

In my view the tasks are: 1. DEduce THE dynamics for spin+detector. 2. Show that those dynamics hold for any and all measurements. I agree that it "seems to be" an undisputed fact. Could this be in the realm of "appearances can be deceiving"? BTW, I am NOT an MWI adherent.

That begs the question - what is a "good" understanding?

A Could QM Arise From Wilson's Ideas

Einstein was right. QM is useful, but it is not complete.
