Half wave rectifier with ideal transformer
Homework Statement Determine the rms values of the currents of primary and secondary windings of transformer in the network circuit diagram. Transformer is perfect, with ratio 6: 1,and negligible AC component of magnetizing current, is connected to the sinus supply network U1 = 220 V, f = 50...- Ivan Antunovic

Find the RMS value of current I
Sorry for the late replay guys,I had exam this week. I think that they mean for minimal as value when it is a negative peak of the current. Correct. Tried calculations now with negative sign of ψ2 = -3π/ 4 and the result that I got is ψ1 = -π / 12 , which gives ψ1 - ψ2 = 2π/3 as it is...- Ivan Antunovic

Find the RMS value of current I
It's RMS value( Imax/ sqrt(2) ) . I tried to solve it this way now: i = Imax *sin(wt) i1 = I1max *sin(wt + ψ1) i2 = I2max *sin(wt+ 3*pi/4 ) at time t = t1 when current i2 is minimal. -I2max = I2max * sin(w*t1 + 3*pi/4) -------> wt1 = -5*pi /4 2*i(t1) = I1max ------> I1max = 2*sqrt(2)...- Ivan Antunovic

Find the RMS value of current I
Homework Statement In the network of sinusoidal current, as shown in the figure, the current i2 is phase delayed for the angle of 3π/4 behind the current i. In the moments in which the current i2 is minimal, current value of current i1 is sqrt(2) A. This value is two times lower than the...- Ivan Antunovic

Finding average current through resistors R1 and R2
Yes picture is clarification from the context of the circuit in post #1. I figured out how to solve this circuit in my 1st post , just wasn't sure if it was correct way , needed your approval. Asked a friend of mine , he agreed with my solution Ic(0) = IR1(0) = 0 and U(0) = UR1(0) -----> IR1(0)...- Ivan Antunovic

Finding average current through resistors R1 and R2
This was actually a first task in the exam this week from the power electronics course. I just simplified the task not bothering you with with numbers. screengrab As you can see from the picture it is a rectangular wave signal with duty-cycle ≠ 50%. (notice different notation for duty cycle...- Ivan Antunovic

Finding average current through resistors R1 and R2
Average currents and voltages are very often calculated in power electronics, for devices like DC-DC converters and rectifiers. The average inductor voltage is zero: screenshot software If this wasn't the case every period you would have more Vs in the inductor. The average capacitor current...- Ivan Antunovic

Finding average current through resistors R1 and R2
Yes it's periodically square wave , not sure whether it asks to find absolute values, it says find average value of the currents, therefore avg value can be negative , if that is what you meant.- Ivan Antunovic
