I think that actually there might be a lot a freezing pattern can tell us.
I know there's a patent on using freezing to remove nuclear waste from water. I can't remember...

If this creates scatter... then perhaps waves can be reflected round obstructions...
I think of this in terms of helping get a satelite signal in awkward locations... but I wouldn't expect that to work what with it being such a weak...
Is this the opposite of an air lock?
I want to make a bag/membrane/lock device that can carry water, yet keep it aerated.
Obviously a cup does this, but I need it to be able to move about vigorously without spilling.
Any ideas what this is called?
