Undergrad First law of thermodynamics, q=w for a reversible isothermal process
according to first law of thermodynamics,q=w for a reversible isothermal process.this means all the energy absorbed is being used to to do the work ,but according to second law of thermodynamics, there cannot be 100% effeciency.please tell where i am going wrong- jarman007

Undergrad What is the Joule Thomson Effect and why does it matter for real gases?
It occurs when a real gas is allowed to expand adiabatically we all know when a ideal gas is expanded adiabatically it temperature decreases so real gas should do the same with minor difference so what is all the fuss about we all know it will happen why is it given a special name- jarman007

Hydraulic Lever: Effect of Force on Pressure
If we apply force f1 on one piston and f2 on another such that p1 > p2 and one piston moves down and one up then what is increase in pressure of liquid will it be p1 + p2 ??- jarman007

Hydraulic Lever: Effect of Force on Pressure
I have a doubt about hydraulic lever if a force f1 is applied at piston of smaller area a1 then pressure is transmitted to every part of fluid due to aplication of f1 smaller piston move down and piston at other end move up does the moving up of second piston have any effect on...- jarman007

What is the force that acts tangential to fluid's surface
Take initially the shape of milk be cuboid Tell how gravity makes it spread Gravity acts perpendicularly to horizontal surface so no sheer stress- jarman007

What is the force that acts tangential to fluid's surface
In my book it is written that: Fluids conform to the boundaries of any container in which we put them. They do so because a fluid cannot sustain a force that is tangential to its surface. Can anyone tell me what is the force that acts tangential to fluid's surface I don't see any force...- jarman007

Finding the Coplanar Value of n for Given Vectors
thanks and please check my solution BxC = 10k -15j + nk + 3ni + j +2i = (3n+2)i -14j + (10+n)k A.(BxC)=6n+4-42-20-2n=0 therefore n = 58/4- jarman007
