    Natural Logs+Calc related question

    OK, so I differentiated the equation and got 2/x Then I plugged 1 into x, so our slope is 2 while the y value is --> -2 + 0 = -2 and the equation i got is --> y+2=2(x-1) is that right? Also, are my first two parts right? -Jen

    Solve Integration Problem Homework: Jennie

    Thank you! so, (8 +2c) - c = 18 and c = 10 that gives me--> f(x)= 12x^2 - 6x + 10

    Solve Integration Problem Homework: Jennie

    I tried using (iii) and this is what I got - f(x) = 4x^3 -3x^2 + c then I plugged in 2 and 1 and got - (32-12+c) - (4-3+c) = 18 but then c will cancel out. I am sure I am doing this wrong. please guide me

    Help Solve Optimization Problem

    ohhh. then the Area = 1/2 * 8.944 * 4/sqrt(5) = 7.999 which is = 8units^s [our earlier answer :smile:]

    Help Solve Optimization Problem

    So area of the triangle = 1/2 * 8.944 *4 = 17.88 units^2 I got the midpoint of QR as (1,5) and the distance from there was 4. So my final answer for the area of the triangle is 17.88 units^2 :-p

    :biggrin: The max value I get is when x_0=1 and D would then be 4/sqrt(5)
