Amount of charge spherical conductor can hold in air

I'm a little thrown off by this because we there is no voltage value given... And how does the air play into the problem? I just something to help me get started: What is the maximum amount of charge that a spherical conductor of radius 5.0 cm can hold in air?

Net electrostatic force on charge between parallel plates

so q(E) in the left direction would be the force from both plates then? so the total force on q1 would be q1(E) - (k)(q1)(q2)/(r^s) ?

Net electrostatic force on charge between parallel plates

I know i need to do k(q1)(q2)/(r^2) for that force but I am confused as to how to calculate the force for the electric fields. I know F=qE but I am unsure if each plate would exert an equal E value...

Net electrostatic force on charge between parallel plates

I am having some trouble getting started with this problem. Do I want to use kq/r^2 at all or should I be doing something else? The problem is: Two point charges, Q1=-6.7 microCoulombs and Q2= 1.3 microcoulombs, are located between two oppositely charged plates. (The positively charged...

    Water droplet problem/electric fields

We just went over electric fields in class and I need help starting a problem: A water droplet is stationary and has radius 0.0200mm. The Electric field where the droplet is located in is 150 N/C downward. How many excess electron charges must the water droplet have?
