hello! friend the pattern also exists in IIT-JEE of india...we too have to make it out...the general strategy to solve multi's is to solve from the basics and to solve the " by-products" hand-by-hand..so to get a list of answerrs...
cheers!
u have got f-ob + f-eye = 25 cm...
Now...f-ob / f--eye = m
now u have two variables and two equations ...just solve it out...i couldn't get the later part of the question actually...
Astronuc..ur replies r just superb and complete...u eat all those questions..which r related to nuke physics...
My question is---
Why r most lines of spectum (H atom) r so congested in I.R region...i.e. why they all end up in I.R. ?
Friend ! u r saying that what's the ratio of lengths of rays - the extended incident one and the refracted one...in normal diagram u join the initial rays such that triangle formed by normal & inc. ext. =~ triangle by normal & incident(initial) ray...now...apply geo. u get d1/d2 =sin(90-r) /...
convex lenses have exceptions for u<f...because at that distance rays don't meet actually...the covention to which u are adapted is very confusing...i don't use this one...
i find this method easy ...(though it is more complex)...and that's because i can't undrestand the other conventions easily...the signs of v,u & f (if they are unknown) need not to be altered in this method and formulae can be directly applied without taking care of signs..
Ya! energy levels are--- n2 x 13.6 eV... when n is an integral value..thus they are quantized the frequency of photons do tell us about the electronic transition going inside the atom...i too need the correct answer...
Better we take that direction as positive which is in support of direction of incident light...and the origin is the intersection point itself...
here n= + di / do (in lenses it is of + sign while in mirrors -sign is there)
