Undergrad Calculating Force Components in a Rotating Link System
I am conducting some research into finding the force which a rotating link will exert. The link is actuated by a motor which provides 30Nm of torque. I need to find force in x,y,z directions F=[Fx,Fy,Fz]; Is the answer [Fx,Fy,Fz]=[tau/Px,tau/Py,tau/Pz]- kubedgamer

Simple torsional stress question
Thank you. Is there some sort of literature I can read about a proof for this?- kubedgamer

Simple torsional stress question
I am having trouble understanding a relatively simple concept. A motor is connected to an impeller directly. i.e Motor -> shaft -> impellers A motor is also connected at 90* to an impeller/shaft i.e Motor -> small shaft -> bevel gears (as linked below) -> shaft -> impellers...- kubedgamer

What is the most cost-effective method for determining crystallization pressure?
Hi Lok, Thanks for your reply. I saw that paper earlier, unfortunately they're focusing on finding the pressure exerted by freezing ice against an obstacle. "Polycrystalline ice, growing from the melt, can exert a pressure against an extended obstacle, even though it is free to grow...- kubedgamer

What is the most cost-effective method for determining crystallization pressure?
Given an unknown fluid, what would be an efficient and/or cheap way of finding it's crystallization pressure through experiment. I would like to keep costs at a minimum and work from off the shelf components if possible.- kubedgamer
