The problem is,I am in grade 12 and I have never done integration before (In fact, we are doing derivative right now)
I am trying to check the derivative:
x^2 - 6x - 2
(x^2 + 2)^2
that I got from:
-x + 3
x^2 + 2
So I figure the anti-derivative (Integral) might be able to help me...
How do I solve the integration of a rational function such as:
x^2 - 6x - 2
(x^2 + 2)^2
If possible, please list the general rule of solving, I DO NOT want the answer, I simply want to know the way of solving it.
Thanks in advance!
So far I got to the part where A = 1, B = -6 and...

The question is as followed:
In how many ways can a student answer a true-false test that has six questions?
I tried nCr where n = 6 and r = 2
The result was 15, but at the back of the book it says 64!
I am wondering where the number 64 come from.
Thanks in advance!
I need help on solving word problems fast. I can solve an algebra mathematical problem like 10X faster than I can solve word problems. Any tips?
Well I found the equation to be (32-2x)(25-2x)x=1575
where x = 3.5
But still, if anyone can explain this problem in a more simple format, then I can ensure myself won't be stuck in one of these word problems, it really took me too long to figure this out. Thanks in advance!
I know this is simple, but I don't understand the English of this problem:
An open box, no more than 5 cm in height, is to be formed by cutting four identical squares from the corners of a sheet of metal 25 cm by 32 cm, and folding up the metal to form sides. The capacity of the box must be...
