I really am not getting this physics stuff...again I thought I had this one figured out but it doesn't seem to be right.
So the question...
A 49.2 kg car is moving at 12.6 m/s around a horizontal curve whose radius is 31.3 m. What is the magnitude of the fictional force required to keep the...
Okay I just redid it and realized my stupid mistake. I thought that the box was on a slope..but then when I reread it I realized that the box was on a straight horizontal and it was the rope that was on the angle. Thanks a bunch! :D
I've switched the trig functions around and tried that answer but still nothing. and I'm almost positive I have my trig done right anyways...but thanks.
Kinetic Friction Problem..Need Help!
Okay...so I really think I'm doing this right..but the CAPA thing won't take my answer so there has to be something I'm doing wrong.
The Question is ...
A 32.0 kg box is being pulled along a horizontal surface by means of a rope that exerts a force of 265...
I can't figure this out for the life of me.
Vector A = 7.00 m and points 40.0o north of east. Vector B = 3.00 m and points 20.0o west of north, and Vector C = 3.00 m and points 35.0o west of south.
What is the magnitude of the resultant vector A+B+C?
What angle does the resultant vector...
Okay this is exactly what I did
vi = (14.573m-8.500m)/(45.70s-44.00s) = 3.572m/s
vf = (25.993m-14.573m)/(47.40s-47.40s) = 6.717 m/s
a = (vf-vi)/delta t
a = (6.716m/s-3.572m/s)/(1.70s) = 1.850 m/s^2
I'm getting a different answer now than I did in the beginning..which is odd. And now its...
Need Help Please! (Acceleration Problem)
I need help really badly with this problem. I've been trying to figure it out and I feel like a total idiot because I keep getting the same answer and the computer keeps telling me that I'm wrong.
The Question Is
An object is moving in a straight...
