How Does Raising e^(2*pi*i) = 1 to the Power of 1/(2*pi*i) Work?
ok cool. thanks! so what really happens when you raise e^(2*pi*i) = 1 to the power of 1/(2*pi*i)?

How Does Raising e^(2*pi*i) = 1 to the Power of 1/(2*pi*i) Work?
I saw this the other day and I don't understand how complex numbers work well enough to disprove it: e^(2*pi*i) = 1 e^(2*pi*i)^(1/(2*pi*i)) = 1^(1/(2*pi*i)) Then the left side equals e and the right side equals 1.
