How torque is converted into ampere in a generator
Thanks for your reply but I want to know actually which equations govern this conversion and how the generator actually knows that now speed should be constant and further addition of energy from the turbine (torque) is now to be converted to amps? Sorry but please bear with my childish question.- RohitRmB

How torque is converted into ampere in a generator
As i have read on the internet that during synchronization the prime mover connected to the turbine produces a little over than required power to keep the turbine cum generator assembly moving at the synchronous speed that is regulated by the grid frequency (In India its 50Hz). As the generator...- RohitRmB

High School Not able to understand weight on the surface of earth
So whenever we measure the weight of any object, we just measure the normal force that is been acted on that object. it has no direct relation with gravity. Now is my statement correct "When an object is experiencing a free fall, it is getting accelerated due to gravitational force and it also... -

High School Not able to understand weight on the surface of earth
When i am standing on the surface of earth, there are two forces acting on me 1)the gravitational force towards the center of the earth 2)normal force radially oppt to gravity as the normal force equals gravity, (that is why i don't sink into the ground or start floating in air), so they... -

Increase Turbine Efficiency by Increasing Vacuum in Condenser
I just mean that by increasing vacuum in the condensor there must be some changes in the condition of steam that in working in the turbine so as to increase the work output- RohitRmB

Increase Turbine Efficiency by Increasing Vacuum in Condenser
this is evident from the pressure tempreture graph, but i want to know what actually happens within the turbine that increases the work output, Turbine has fixed number of moving and stationary blades, when steam passes through these blades, turbine rotates because of the impulsive and reactive...- RohitRmB

Increase Turbine Efficiency by Increasing Vacuum in Condenser
By increasing vacuum in the condensor the efficiency of the turbine increases, also the rankine graph shows this! But my question is, why does this happen? how can efficiency of turbine can increase just by increasing vacuum in the condensor? in reality it does increase, so i want to know...- RohitRmB

High School What causes the transparency of glass?
When the material is suddenly and rapidly cooled then the atoms inside doesn't get enough time to arrange itself but wherever and however they may be arranged, when light falls on it there would be some light that would get refracted, some would diffract, some photons which strike the nucleus...- RohitRmB

High School What causes the transparency of glass?
I am not able to understand why is glass transparent because the same amount of atoms are still present and even if they are not able to arrange themselves in a proper crystalline structure then to there will some places where their would be less gap and some places where there is more gap for...- RohitRmB

Undergrad .Understanding Stress on Space Elevator
i am not able to understand how, where and why stresses will act on the space elevator considering it to be a rope or ribbon, i mean to ask that if we make a free body diagram of the space elevator then where and in which direction forces will act on it. and why that forces will act as they...- RohitRmB

Graduate Passage from the book relativity i am not able to understand
thanks everybody, i have understood and my problem is now solved. actually at first i was not able to imagine that when i leave the stone, the stone is now disconnected from my hand but it still moves forward along with me, so after leaving the stone from my hand as i move forward in the train...- RohitRmB

Graduate Passage from the book relativity i am not able to understand
But meanwhile it is falling, i am moving ahead with the train, whereas there is no horizontal component of velocity with the stone, so would'nt it appear to be going in opposite direction to me?- RohitRmB

if i were standing on a moving train and i drop a stone, neglecting the effect of air, would'nt i see it moving backward because when i leave the stone from my hands, even when i am still standing on the train, even when initial the stone was at rest relative to me?- RohitRmB
