under what condition, freqency of water wave will change if it travels from deep to shallow or shallow to deep? my teacher taught us that V and 入 have a linearly relation. and he also told us freqency will stay the same in all cases. is it incorrect?

base on my knowledge, F depends on source, V depends on medium, 入depends on medium, water wave travel from shallow to deep region ,speed will increase when wavelength increases but V stay the same. speed depend on depth !
