Is Light a Particle or a Wave According to Quantum Theory?

I think of light as discrete photon wave packets. In the photoelectric effect the number of photoelectrons set free does not increase with the light intensity or wavelength of light hitting a surface, but is more dependent on the threshold frequency, below which no photoelectrons are emitted.

Is Light a Particle or a Wave According to Quantum Theory?

I have only thought about wave particle duality recently, have to look up Maldacena duality. get back to you soon.

Is Light a Particle or a Wave According to Quantum Theory?

I agree a wave and particle cannot be separated, but the wave function of electromagnetic radiation carried by photons is only present when we have a flow of electrons.

Is Light a Particle or a Wave According to Quantum Theory?

I must admit I know nothing of quantum theory, but I do know how Televisions And Radios are designed and work. On tried and trusted physics formulas from people like: Faraday, Ohm, Watt, Maxwell, Lenz, and many more. I will however study more about quantum mechanic before I criticize it.

Is Light a Particle or a Wave According to Quantum Theory?

I am trying to understand the exact problem of particle wave duality. Perhaps somebody can correct me but it seems to me an electron is a negatively charged particle, i don't think most people would disagree. However, it has wave associations only when a voltage is applied to create a flow of...
