okey the question goes like this
A plate capacitor with area A and distance d1 is charged to a potential difference of V1 between the plates. Now the distance between the plates increases to d2 = 2*d1.
a) What is the new potential difference, V2, between the plates?
b) Find the increase...
I'm having a little problem with this one
The electric field of the Earth (surface), is about 120 V/m.
1. what is the force on a oxygen-ion in this field?
Okey we have 120 V/m = 120 N/C,
so E = 1/(4π€0) * q/(r^2) = 120 N/C (electric fiels equation), where 1/(4π€0) = 9*10^9N*m^2/C^2...
Yea I know about calculus, but the question says you get 90%/points for a reasonable answer, and 100% for a correct. I will settle with 90%, and use
X = x0 + v0x +1/2*ax*t^2 (although I'm not sure this is the right way), and use V0x = 0.
Thanks
Two indentical spheres with radius 15cm and mass 100kg are 6mm apart from echother in space. My problem is to find how long it will take before gravitational attraction will cause the two spheres to come together?
What I have found out so far is:
I have the gravitational force Fg= 7,12*10^-6...
