Automotive Car Wheel Temp: Brake Rotor & Hub Heat Range

Yes , exactly. Due to hear transfer from rotor, and hub assembly, what temperature range does the face of the wheel encounter?

Automotive Car Wheel Temp: Brake Rotor & Hub Heat Range

Considering how hot brake rotors get under hard street and race track braking, what is the typical heat range experienced buy the actual wheel in contact with the rotor and hub?

Time it takes to accelerate from 60-130mph

That's awesome. Good stuff! I remember seeing vids of that car. I will be at the Texas mile with my friend and his Porsche this October. Will you be competing also ?

Time it takes to accelerate from 60-130mph

Lol. Yes. Of course these top fuel dragsters are much faster than street legal cars.

Time it takes to accelerate from 60-130mph

    I'll check this out later...thx!

Time it takes to accelerate from 60-130mph

There are no restrictions other than using a GPS and not going down hill steeper than a predetermined gradient.

Time it takes to accelerate from 60-130mph

It doesn't have to be done on the street. Many events at rented airport runways have 0-130, 60-130, half mile roll starts etc etc. Where is this cobra you speak of? How much are you willing to wager.

Time it takes to accelerate from 60-130mph

the only rules are that it has to be measured using GPS, and verified with video and restricted to a minimum gradient. It's mostly for street cars to mimic most real work encounters...from a rolling start on the street. It's very difficult to launch a high performance car, and 0-60 doesn't tell...

Time it takes to accelerate from 60-130mph

So in the world of high end performance cars, this is yet another measuring stick to determine a cars acceleration prowess. Their 60-130mph times are measured using GPS devices in the car, given a minimum gradient restriction. Different divers have different techniques which they feel give...

What Size Crank Pulley for 9 PSI Boost with a 101.6mm Supercharger Pulley?

thanks but he stills we are wrong.. lol problem is, we may not be able to physically fit a 175.77mm pulley in there so we'll have to see

What Size Crank Pulley for 9 PSI Boost with a 101.6mm Supercharger Pulley?

not to beat a dead horse, but he punched some numbers on a calculator while murmuring something about distance traveled by the pulley in the mile vs RPM and came up with 142 mm for the new crank pulley. He won't tell me what formula he used, but swears he's correct. I am concerned because...

EE vs Petroleum Engineering: Job Prospects & Physics Overlap

have you looked into the solar photovoltaic industry? there seems to be a demand for EE's to design those systems.

What Size Crank Pulley for 9 PSI Boost with a 101.6mm Supercharger Pulley?

Thanks for the prompt response and confirmation. My friend still thinks I'm wrong though...lol. He says that i should take the percentage difference between the two supercharger pulleys and then increase the crank pulley by that percentage. That doesn't seem to settle right with me since the...
