Homework Statement
I have the series \sum\frac{b^{(2n+2)}(-1)^{n}}{(2n+2)!} from n=0 to infinity. I am trying to find what it converges to in terms of b.
Homework Equations
Using the Ratio Test I have established that it does converge.
The Attempt at a Solution
I have scoured...
Homework Statement
Describe the methods by which proteins are clustered in the plasma membrane.
Homework Equations
There are none really; it's theory.
The Attempt at a Solution
I understand that the proteins bond with the cytoskeleton (actin microfillaments and intermediate...
For the density, it seems reasonable to argue both ways, since one could always bring up the argument of pure water freezing to ice, which floats on pure liquid water since the density is less. I personally found both arguments when I used a search engine on this problem, since I was interested.
Homework Statement
I was asked to find the formula for the antiderivative \int1/(25+x^{2})
Homework Equations
Take a 'part' of the equation and use it to solve the antiderivative, integration by substitution.
and dw=(1/5)dx
The Attempt at a Solution
I initially set my substitution...
Alright, well, in the depths of the internet I finally found the answer explained, and apparently my using standard delta H and S were correct. The answers from the company that make the questions say that delta S doesn't change (thought says nothing about delta H) and so I just plug in the...
I believe that my first approach is incorrect since standard values are at 298.15K, and this is asking for delta G at 1000K, implying that delta H and delta S have changed as well.
I hate to say this, but some people won't look at problems if there is only an attachment (for fear of viruses and other unknown content). I know that you probably mean no harm, but it would behoove you if you took the time to write out the problem. (You would likely get many more bites!)
Begin by listing all of your known values. Just a straight forward before and after listfor each type of measurment (volumes, mass, pressure, temperatures, etc etc) that is given.
Then take a look at those formulas and see which equations utilize those types of values.
Homework Statement
The reaction is NH_{4}Cl(s)\rightarrow NH_{3}(g)+HCl(g)
\Delta H^{o}=+176 kJ and \Delta G^{o}=+91.2 kJ at 298 K
What is the value of \Delta G at 1000 K?
Homework Equations
\Delta G=\Delta H-T\Delta S
The same applies if all 'deltas' are standard

Homework Statement
I have to take an integral of x^3/(1+x^2) from zero to 1.48766439...(I have the number).
Homework Equations
None really.
The Attempt at a Solution
Well, I tried and tried, and I could not find a single way to separate the top from the bottom. Also, I tried u...
