High School Is ]-∞, ∞[ the Same as All Real Numbers?
If the brackets are facing outwards ][ then they're supposed to mean the points are excluded. If the brackets are facing inwards [] then they're supposed to mean the points are included. At least, that's what I was told, and that's what I read in my textbook. Anyway, yes, I see your point...- syukai

First Question If: f(x) = (x^2+1)/x Then: f(x) = x + (1/x) From my understanding, x would be the oblique/slant asymptote. Why is that? Second Question Why and how can horizontal asymptotes be crossed?
