Affordable Places to Go Out & Dress Up
My daughter is big time into swing dancing. There are classes and dances almost weekly that are mutli-generational, but mostly young folks (late teens and twenties). They dress up and have a blast. The lessons are cheap, dances are pretty cheap, and the outdoor dances at the local park are free...- ThinkToday

News Examining the 2012 Campaign Character Narratives: Obama vs. Romney
Seriously! I can't imagine the thought process that would see this a positive for anyone. I don't know if any other President has done something lilke this "The Times notes that people familiar with Bush's routine say he has written letters personally to every one of the families of the more...- ThinkToday

Medical Here we go with cellphone tumors again
Not me. Mostly right hand. If I'm doing something, it sits on my desk in speaker mode. That brings to mind a question. My kids both have "cell phones", and I say "cell phones" because they use them 95% of the time to "text" and when they are actually using a phone as a phone, it's on speaker...- ThinkToday

Physics Do medical physicists understand anything about universe?
lol, seriously? Medical Physics is just another physics subspecialty. We all get General Physics, Light & Atomic Physics, Solid State Physics, Nuclear Physics, E&M, etc., as well as math Diff Eq, Ab Alg., Lin. Alg, etc. Now, as far as the "universe" is concerned, no we don't have any intense...- ThinkToday

I want to purchase one of these computers
You sure about that? Not going to do much gaming with that. Are you planning on going with linux or something else besides Windows? That will seriously limit your gaming selection.- ThinkToday

I want to purchase one of these computers
Yea, need more info. Since you aren't a hard core gamer, that opens up a lot of potential systems. Since it appears you want a laptop, which may limit selection. First, what is the primary use, and is battery life important for your main use? If you need to be unplugged for hours on end, system...- ThinkToday

Medical Is blood donation actually valuable? Are all units really used?
I second that! It's not just blood for emergencies. Blood is used for routine surgery, blood products are used for chemo patients, etc., etc.- ThinkToday

News Examining the 2012 Campaign Character Narratives: Obama vs. Romney
I'm not so sure. I think the Democratic base was infused, but for me, it was a "here we go again" moment. Blame, blame, blame, and Democrats are just victims of Republicans, even though Obama and the Democrats had absolute control of the legislative and executive branches of government for his...- ThinkToday

Schools Chapman University: Taking General Physics I Without Ever Having Taken Calculus
No, not if it's calculus based physics, which is usually a class for Physics/P.chem/Chem. Eng./etc. majors only. IMO, you are in the wrong class. Physical Therapy shouldn't be any more than Physics for non-majors (not calc based). Get the heck out of there before it's too late, lol!- ThinkToday

Quitting Physics: Is it Time to Move On?
Are you one of those people that have test paralysis? Is there material you feel you just don't know well enough? Are you going into the tests relaxed and well rested or are you cramming until the last minute (bad idea, btw)? Rather than looking here, you need an informed objective opinion. I'd...- ThinkToday

Medical Digital dental x-ray with periapical film
The question makes no sense to me. The x-ray tube isn't what is digital. The image receptor is digital. Here are a couple of links that discuss digital imaging and digital vs. film/screen http://www.aapm.org/meetings/05AM/pdf/18-2623-22086-53.pdf...- ThinkToday

Medical Here we go with cellphone tumors again
The link wasn't usable for me. However, given the large general population use of wireless devices, I'm not sure how they identify cell phone induced tumor vs. any other. Here's another link to comparable article that seems consistent with yours...- ThinkToday

News Examining the 2012 Campaign Character Narratives: Obama vs. Romney
I'm hoping for a comeback by Nader and the Green Party http://www.greenpartywatch.org/2010/07/21/2012-green-party-presidential-candidate-___________/ or www.vote-socialist.org to pull some votes off Obama hehe- ThinkToday

News President Barack Obama answers questions on Reddit
What a bunch of garbage! This is the same guy that passed up public funding so he could raise more money using his machine. From http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barack_Obama_presidential_campaign,_2008 "Barack Obama's fundraising broke previous records for presidential primary and general...- ThinkToday

Physics Med Phys Grad School: CMD Accepted but Not Campep Approved
From AAPM on this topic http://www.aapm.org/announcements/ABRCAMPEPPressRelease.pdf Once you pass the ABR, no one will care, IMO. It appears the program must at least be in the process of obtaining CAMPEP status. If you aren't ABR cert., you will be toast in the US market, IMO- ThinkToday
