Graduate Classical Explanation of Photoelectric Effect
http://singlephoton.wikidot.com/single-photon-detection-experiment I was browsing the web earlier, and noticed that the page above said that recently there was a semi-classical (wave) explanation of the photoelectric effect (End of 2nd-3rd Line). I was wondering how this was, as I can't seem...- wilsonge

Quality of Lenses Using Newton's rings
Been thinking a bit more about this and I'm wondering could I use the lens maker's equation and then use the difference in the refractive index - only problem is I only used one lens for each set of Newton's Rings formed so not sure if that gets me anywhere or not George- wilsonge

Solving Free-Fall Kinematics: Find Acceleration from Initial Speed
Acceleration is a vector quantity - i.e. it has a direction. So as the ball is being thrown downwards and the force (do you know what it is) is also acting downwards there isn't going to be a horizontal acceleration but there will be a vertical one :) Does this help?- wilsonge

Quality of Lenses Using Newton's rings
Homework Statement Basically I'm writing up a formal report on our experiment on Newton's rings - one of the things in our aims was in investigate the quality of the lenses we were using. Whilst many sites also say Newton's rings can be used to investigate the quality of the lenses not much...- wilsonge
