at the risk of mincing, Einstein was also called a crackpot...I tend not to dismiss anything as irrelevant until it's proved absolutely wrong. I will however refrain from "muddling". :smile:

I've seen it theorized somewhere that our own sun is supposedly orbiting a BH 1/10 its' size. I think that must be utter nonsense, but maybe I'm missing something crucial that would make it possible?

I would guess that no super massive BH exists in the center of our universe, as the theories go, our universe is continually expanding. I don't think that would be possible if even a medium size supernova occurred in our known universe, let alone a massive one in interstellar space. More likely...

purely hypothetical would be a collision of two "distortions of gravity" aka black holes...I'd like to hear theories on that.

there is the oddity of mercury's perihelion in contrast...something like 45 odd seconds per mecury year, if I remember right?

in velikovsky's worlds in collision, he describes the collisions of venus, Mars and Earth within the last 8 to 15,000 years. Isn't it possible that such a collision could happen with the sun, assuming of course that any of the body in question withstood the temperatures?

being a newbie to your forums, and especially not having any letters after my name, I tread carefully here. This theory seems to beg the age old question of the tree falling in the forest, as far as I can tell. What ramifications does this have toward MOND, if proved or disproved?
