A book for a mathematical description of GR

Click For Summary
SUMMARY

The discussion centers on recommendations for books that cover the mathematical foundations of General Relativity (GR) without delving into Differential Geometry. The primary suggestion is "General Relativity" by Robert M. Wald, recognized as a classic text in the field. Additionally, "A Concise Introduction to General Relativity" by Straumann is mentioned as a contemporary alternative that matches Wald's rigor.

PREREQUISITES
  • Understanding of General Relativity principles
  • Familiarity with mathematical concepts relevant to physics
  • Basic knowledge of tensor calculus
  • Awareness of classical mechanics
NEXT STEPS
  • Read "General Relativity" by Robert M. Wald
  • Explore "A Concise Introduction to General Relativity" by Straumann
  • Study tensor calculus to strengthen mathematical foundations
  • Investigate additional resources on the mathematical aspects of GR
USEFUL FOR

Students of physics, researchers in theoretical physics, and anyone seeking a deeper understanding of the mathematical underpinnings of General Relativity.

Hello everyone
I need a good book dealing with the mathematical foundations of GR. I am looking for a rigorous one but i don't need a book on Differential Geometry. Just the stuff i need for GR. Thanks for the replies!

I would recommend Wald in that case.
