Hi,

This is a question regarding my employment.

A centrifugal pump at the source tank sends fluid 200m using 3" hoses to a recieval tank.
When the automatic valve shuts on the recieval tank the pump stops due to it having a pressure sensor. When the pump stops there is 8 Bar pressure on the sensor reading. The pump does 30000L/H

1. If there is 8 Bar pressure at the pump when it has stopped would the pressure also be 8 Bar at the valve end which is 200m away?
2. When the valve shuts does it send pressure all the way back to the pump?
3. Do bends and varying heights in pipes cause pressure?

Thank you

Tony
