Q. "A password with 8 characters, consisting of Upper case/Lower Case &0-9"
A. 221,919,451,578,090 combinations.

Provided the characters were a random sequence, (not a word in a dictionary), 8 is safe for on-line login : it would take centuries to try all the possible combinations online.
8 characters not safe for offline use though, where more guesses-per-second are possible : crackable within a day.

this is actually one of the best passwords long and easy to remember and would be even better with some punctuation to further improve its strength. The only problem is that some systems don't support really long passwords.

My favorite though is zero-based proof systems where you answer questions you know the answer to but no one else does and it varies each time you log on.

Failure: It turns out that, more often than, a team with a higher SD wins. In my language, that...
Hi all, I've been a roulette player for more than 10 years (although I took time off here and there) and it's only now that I'm trying to understand the physics of the game. Basically my strategy in roulette is to divide the wheel roughly into two halves (let's call them A and B). My theory is that in roulette there will invariably be variance. In other words, if A comes up 5 times in a row, B will be due to come up soon. However I have been proven wrong many times, and I have seen some...
