Click For Summary

Discussion Overview

The discussion centers around the search for an accurate and complete periodic table, specifically one that includes color, electron configurations, and is up-to-date with precise decimal accuracy. Participants are sharing resources and preferences for periodic tables that meet these criteria.

Discussion Character

  • Exploratory
  • Technical explanation
  • Debate/contested

Main Points Raised

  • One participant expresses dissatisfaction with existing periodic tables found online and requests recommendations for a specific type that includes electron configurations.
  • Another participant suggests visiting Webelements as a potential resource for the requested periodic table.
  • A different participant indicates a preference for a printable version of the periodic table.
  • One participant mentions that NIST has an up-to-date periodic table as of 2003, providing a link to it.

Areas of Agreement / Disagreement

Participants have not reached a consensus on a specific periodic table that meets all the requested criteria, and multiple suggestions are being discussed.

Contextual Notes

Some participants may have specific preferences regarding the format (printable vs. digital) and the date of the last update, which could affect their recommendations.

I am wondering if somebody can please help me to locate a very accurate, complete periodic table. Specifically, I'm looking for one that is color, contains electron configurations, and is up-to-date and accurate to the typical number of decimal places. I've searched Google and was not happy with any of the results I looked at. I attached one close to what I'm looking for, but it lacks electron configuration data.

If anybody has a favorite or knows of a standard periodic table that you think would work, I'd really appreciate a link!

Have you visited Webelements?

Yes, I'd prefer a printable table. But thank you!

NIST has one that is up to date as of 2003.
