Hello everyone,

I need some help, which I would be very grateful for.

My local council, here in the UK, are looking to employ someone who they will train, as well as send the successful candidate to a local college/university to gain HNC level in Information Communications Technology. This is a fully working position in that the candidate will be working normal office hours when in work.

(I apologize to Americans, I'm not fully aware what a HNC is equivalent to in the states)
Further,
this is more than a perfect opportunity and position for me to finally start working towards what I want to do, I am very eager to get this position and need help with a possible interview in the future.
I would love to hear from anyone who was looking to get employment in a similar role (IT).

From this I'd really appreciate if you could jot down any question you were asked or any questions you feel would be asked of me. As I said, I am excited at the prospect working there and would like to have a few answers in mind for any questions asked.

Here is an example of a question I feel will be asked.

Why do you want to become an ICT officer
(I am able to answer this one but posted just as an example :))

Many thanks and sorry for the long post.

Should be hearing about an interview in the next few days.

I don't know if anyone on here works for any of the well known defense companies of your country, whichever country you are from?? Well if you work at say Lockheed Martin and you work in the latest iteration of a missile or if you work at Pratt & Whitney, they assign you to work in the team helping out with building the jet...
Hello, I graduated from undergrad a few years ago with a Major in Physics and minor in Electrical Engineering. I tried to get experience working on and testing circuits through my professor who studied Neutrinos, however covid caused the opportunity to go away and I graduated with no experience or internships. I have attempted to break into the engineering industry with no success. Right now I am considering going for a Masters in Electrical Engineering and I need advice on if this would be...
So lately, my interest in the realm of optics/optoelectronics/photonics engineering has grown and I have started to seriously consider pursuing a career in the field. I have done a bit of career research and also have done some learning on the side to gather more knowledge on these topics. However, I have some questions on what a career in these fields would look like, and I wanted to find out more about this area to know what I would be getting myself into if I did make the choice to pursue...
