SUMMARY

The MIT Quantum Mechanics courses 8.04x and 8.05x on edX, taught by Professor Barton Zwiebach, are highly regarded for their depth and quality. Participants report that both courses are comprehensive and require a significant time investment, but the learning outcomes are substantial. Access to the course materials requires a free edX account, and sharing videos externally is illegal due to copyright restrictions. Overall, these courses are recommended for anyone serious about mastering quantum mechanics.

PREREQUISITES
  • Basic understanding of quantum mechanics principles
  • Familiarity with online learning platforms, specifically edX
  • Ability to commit time to in-depth study
  • Interest in advanced physics topics
NEXT STEPS
  • Explore the edX platform for additional courses on quantum mechanics
  • Research supplementary materials on quantum mechanics to enhance understanding
  • Join online forums or study groups focused on quantum physics
  • Consider enrolling in related courses, such as MIT's Classical Mechanics or Quantum Computing

The site asks me to sign into view the contents. Is it possible to upload the videos to the PF media gallery? Then everyone can view them.

I strongly suspect that would raise copyright issues.

That would be illegal. It takes a min to sign up to edx and it is free if you do not need a certificate of completion.

Both courses are excellent. The lecturer is brilliant ! The courses are very detailed and take a lot of time to complete but if you put the time in you will learn a lot.
