Hello everyone. I am currently a Maintenance Manager at a production facility. I live in Northeast Texas and am just 4 years away from retirement.
Even though I love to hunt and fish, I am mainly an all-outdoors-type. I also have a small farm that I live on and another farm near Lake Wright Patman, which is mostly for hay, but the grandkids seem to enjoy riding their 4 wheelers over most of it.
I graduated from trade school (American School of Business) in 1978, which opened many doors. I love to build things from scratch. Thanks for letting me join.

I found this forum cause I was searching on Google if it's common for physics student to feel like they're in the wrong major in the first semester cause it feels like too much for me to learn the materials even the ones that are considered as "basic math" or "basic physics", I've initial fascination with the universe's mysteries and it disconnect with the reality of intense, foundational mathematics courses required...
Hi there! This is Vmax, an old (relatively, but the profession can definitively accelerate aging) aerospace engineer now returning to physics in my 50s. I can definitively use some help in refreshing long forgotten topics and guidance in tackling new challenging subjects in modern physics. I'm looking forward to engaging in interesting, informative and stimulating conversations with you all. Have a great day!
