Well, my friend bitjumper has an article about him In Better Homes and Gardens about a conversion he did from a plain old swimming pool to a beautiful pond. (Yeah he's the one that invited me to Germany )

Anyway, what he did was truly gutsy and turned out beautifully. Here are a couple of pictures from the article. This is where his swimming pool used to be.

I love his ponds. Does he have real koi swimming in them?

If I made my own pond I would have to have some cattails surrounding it.:approve:

I'd much rather have the pool.

Yes, he does.

Oh cattails would be good. There are cattails up and down my street along the runoffs and the ponds.

Very nice! :-p I like ponds, and the plants and flowers.

Maybe a pond that you can swim in would be better.

We have a pool, and a pond. The pond would be good for you.

Sorry, I couldn't resist. One of my favorite movies

It's gorgeous! What a way to transform a backyard into a tranquil retreat! (Though, I'm in agreement with those who would have voted to have a pond you could still swim in.)
