My main goal is to understand plasmons, for that I have been told that the theoretical background is Maxwell equations in a plasma. Do you know any book with these equations?

Thanks!

Any plasma physics book will include the basics, but typically will not discuss plasmons since they are condensed matter ("typical" plasma physics books use only classical physics). Free examples of plasma physics books/notes include:

Hard-copy books that are worth looking at include the classic "introduction to plasma physics and controlled fusion" by Chen.

I'd suggest Plasmonics: Fundamentals and Applications by Stephen Maier supplemented by Optical Properties of Solids by Mark Fox.
