Hi everyone!

I'm an undergrad in mechanical engineering and I quite frequently forget everything I learn in class right after I finish exams (not because I want to lol...it just happens)

I'm trying to better my intuitive understanding of mechanics and to apply it in real world applications so I can apply it to projects I want to work on (and to maybe feel better about knowing how/why simple mechanisms work). I feel as though going over questions that others post I actually retain more information than when I'm in class.

Hope to learn a lot from everyone!

Hello everyone, I was advised to join this community while seeking guidance on how to navigate the academic world as an independent researcher. My name is Omar, and I'm based in Groningen The Netherlands. My formal physics education ended after high school, but I have dedicated the last several years to developing a theoretical framework from first principles. My work focuses on a topological field theory (which I call Swirl-String Theory) that models particles as knotted vortex...
