Can I Donate Unused Bandwidth?

AI Thread Summary
Unused bandwidth cannot be donated or transferred to other users or services, as bandwidth allocation is typically fixed to individual accounts. Members often have varying amounts of bandwidth, with some underutilizing their allocated limits. For example, one member mentioned having 30GB of bandwidth but only using a fraction of it monthly. The average usage for the forum is around 15-20GB per month. Overall, while the idea of sharing unused bandwidth is appealing, it is not feasible under current hosting arrangements.

how much ...

seriously, how much bandwidth is used up every month? is it possible to allocate some of that bandwidth elsewhere?

ie...PF.com and a member has his own website with xxx bandwidth each month. the member hardly uses any of his bandwidth, and maybe could somehow "donate" that bandwidth?

PF goes through on average 15-20gig per month. Unfortunately, bandwidth donating just isn't possible.

oh, because i got 30GB of bandwidth on my domain, of which i hardly ever use up (unless i host large vids and songs) ...

too bad you couldn't move over some of it, hehe
