There are many career options for those with a degree in physics, including research positions in academia or industry, engineering roles, data analysis and statistics positions, teaching and education, medical physics, and roles in finance and technology companies.
Some key skills that are important for a career in physics include problem-solving, critical thinking, analytical skills, mathematical skills, computer programming, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong communication skills are also important for presenting research findings and collaborating with others.

Most careers in physics require at least a bachelor's degree, with many positions requiring a master's degree or Ph.D. for more advanced research or leadership roles. Some positions may also require additional specialized training or certifications.
The job outlook for careers in physics is generally positive, with a projected growth rate of 7% from 2019 to 2029, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. This is slightly faster than the average for all occupations, and job prospects may be particularly strong for those with advanced degrees and specialized skills in emerging fields such as biophysics and materials science.
